"Happy (belated) New Year! I hope your 2016 is off to a grand start and that the year has plenty of good things in store for you. I'm feeling a little under-the-weather at the moment but nothing too bad. I wanted to swing by and bring you one more update to the species concept illustration from the FUTURE TEXTS so please take a look at the Cu'Lratii! There are plenty more species present in the FUTURE TEXTS but I'd like to switch over to some different content next week so stay tuned for that. I've been doing my best to make the most of my off hours with time spent playing 'Bravely Default' (the 3D in which s quite stunning), finishing up with some alternate playthroughs of 'Until Dawn', and starting in (finally) on 'Bastion' via Steam. I've been wanting to play 'Bastion' for some time and just love the art, the beautiful graphics, and the marvellous soundtrack. I'm planning to jump straight into 'Transistor' once I finish 'Bastion' but one step at a time. Well, I'd love to stay and chat more but I need to rest my head a bit so I hope you have a grand week and I'll be back again next Wednesday; cheers!"

"Hey there, how's it going? I hope you have been well and that your year has been progressing nicely! I've been a little under-the-weather still and have a case of Laryngitis but otherwise, I am doing quite well and am very content with my personal life these days! I wanted to bring you a little insight into the creation of 'Owl and Fish-man' today so please check out the very first concept sketches and colour keys I did for the original cast! I haven't had too much consistent gaming time lately but when I have had a chance to sit down and play, I've often popped back in to the beautiful world of 'Bastion'. I'm just past the half-way point and am looking forward to finishing it up soon. I'm really impressed with the amount of weapons and weapon customization options available in the game and am digging the combat system. As I mentioned, I'd like to hop into 'Transistor' once I'm finished up with 'Bastion' though I'm also itching to get back to some more ample time with 'Bravely Default' and - though I didn't get to play for long - I did start 'The Evil Within' and would love to sink my teeth into that as well. Hopefully I'll have a little more gaming time soon but for now, I'm quite content with what I'm playing. I'm off to get some cleaning and organizing done before getting down to work this evening so I hope you have a great week, a wonderful weekend and I will see you again next Wednesday! Until then my friend, cheers!"

"Well hello there, glad to see you! How have things been going on your end? I've been feeling a little worn-down but otherwise I have been well. I wanted to just pop in quick today in order to bring you the start in a series of location concept illustrations from 'Owl and Fish-man' so please take a look at the original illustrations of Cherry Town! I have a few of these illustration for you to check out over the coming weeks so keep on checking back! I finally manage to get my hands on a copy of 'Life is Strange' which is being added to me backlog, though I hope to dig into it soon! I actually had some issues with my copy of 'Life is Strange' as I had ordered it from the Square Enix Online Store and my order ended up getting cancelled. It turns out that when you make several orders all at once, their system will attempt to charge all of them at once regardless of what games are actually coming out. As such my preorder for 'Life is Strange' (as well as several others, including the upcoming 'Final Fantasy Explorers') were cancelled and - needless to say - I was extremely frustrated. Thankfully, since Square Enix switched distributers from Digital River (whom I had no end of problems ordering from) to PepitaShop, customer service has become fantastic! I spoke with a wonderful agent who got everything sorted out for me and, panic attack aside, I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with their services. So a heads up if you plan on making several preorders from the Square Enix Online Store: order only one at a time. Otherwise, the store's service has greatly improved! Anyways, have a great week and see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hey there, how're you? I must apologize that today will be a bit of a brief update as I have been pretty exhausted and under-the-weather this past week. All the same, I have another piece of location concept art from back in the early days of 'Owl and Fish-man' so please do take a look! I've been doing some more prep work for some of my stories (mostly writing) and am really looking forward to what I'll be bringing you this year! I haven't had too much gaming time since last week but I'm nearing the end of 'Bastion' and am eager to see how it ends! Well, I'm off to get myself some rest. I hope you have a great week and I'll see you again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

  FEBRUARY 2016

DATE: 2016/02/03 JESSEN:
"Hello and happy February! I hope this day finds you well, friend. I have been doing pretty well myself and - while I have been having some intermittent health issues and an extremely hectic week - I've been in good spirits. I wanted to swing by and drop off another location sketch from 'Owl and Fish-man' so please do take a look at this piece from the story's humble beginnings! I'm planning to get in a little more drawing time over the next couple of weeks and am looking forward to putting some of my new ideas down on paper. I haven't had a ton of time to game (this week especially) but I'm right at the end of 'Bastion' so I'm looking forward to polishing that off before next week! I'm not sure what to jump into next as I'm dying to start 'Transistor' but I'm also itching to play some more 'Bravely Default' - especially since I'm really in the mood for some 'Final Fantasy' and 'Bravely Default' definitely scratches that itch. I'd best get through the rest of my work this week before deciding what game to play next so, for now, I shall bid you farewell and hope to see you here again next Wednesday; cheers!"

"Hey there, what's up? I hope you've been well this week and I hope the remainder of your week treats you well! I'm a little run-down again but it's been a busy week and hopefully next week will be a bit slower. I wanted to just pop by quickly and bring you another piece of 'Owl and Fish-man' concept artwork so please take a look at this location illustration! I had a tiny bit of gaming time last weekend and managed to get distracted by 'Final Fantasy Explorers' which I quite like! It's sort of like a combination of the original 'Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles' and 'Monster Hunter'. The music, art, and design aspects are all beautiful and the gameplay and combat are quite engaging. The aspect that really stands out is the ability system. By building a gauge, you can activate Crystal Surge that enhances and adds special added effects to your attacks. Once these effects have been utilized with your attacks, you can learn new variants of the attacks that have these added effects built in. By learning and equipping these new variants and using Crystal Surge again, you can continue adding more and more bonus effects to your abilities and tailor your skill loadout to your playstyle! It's a ton of fun and I hope to spend some more time with it soon. Anyways, I'm off to get some rest before launching back into my work. I hope you have a grand weekend this coming weekend and I'll see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how're things? I had a pretty wonderful, relaxing, and restorative weekend which was grand! I'm feeling quite a bit more recharged this week and have even been able to sneak in some more drawing time than usual. Today I wanted to bring you the last piece of classic location concept art from 'Owl and Fish-man' that I have at the moment so please do take a look! I've been working on a bunch of different stories all at once recently so next week I'll be bringing you some concept art from a different story, though which one will be has yet to be determined; stay tuned! I managed to take in 'Deadpool' over the weekend and it was such a fantastic movie! I'm shocked Fox didn't manage to ruin it and I'm glad they finally broke down and listened to fans in order to get this movie made - and with an R Rating at that! It was entertaining, well-written, funny, faithful to the comics, and saw Ryan Reynolds play the titular role magnificently! In addition, I also finally finished up my playthrough of 'Bastion' and absolutely adored it! The ending was beautiful and kept throwing new things at me right up to the end. I'm dying to play 'Transistor' and I'm also eager to see what Supergiant Games has in their pocket next! For now, though, I'm working my way through 'Bravely Default' and 'Final Fantasy: Explorers' when I can. 'Street Fighter V' also just dropped and, while I'm hearing a lot of the game is not functioning optimally, I'm still eager to get in a few bouts as soon as I can. Before any gaming, though, I have to get through some work so I hope you have a grand week and I'll see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello again, how're things? I must apologize that this post is arriving a little late but I have been quite under-the-weather today and was super-slow getting this update finished. It is up now, however, and I hope it finds you in far better health! I wanted to bring you some more of my on-the-go sketches that I have been doing on my phone this past while. Today, the sketches come from the FUTURE TEXTS so do take a look! Since the end of last week I've been managing to get in a little 'Street Fighter V' and I must say that, while it is a bit of a different beast than previous titles, I am quite fascinated with what they are experimenting with for this title. I found it a bit odd that the game was missing modes and components upon release, though my brother pointed out that this release is much like a standard arcade release of a fighting game. Typically, when a game like 'Street Fighter' is released, it crops up in arcades first and is expanded upon and refined there before finding a home on consoles. The launch of 'Street Fighter V' in an era where updates can be pushed to consoles online has seen this release resembling what would more traditionally be found as the initial arcade release. This 'first draft' of 'Street Fighter V' is just for the 'home arcade', promoting online ranked play and casual lobbies instead of featuring it in a physical establishment. It's an interesting approach and I'm eager to see what they plan for the upcoming free updates and the 2016 Seasons Pass which will likely bring it closer to what one might think of as the console release. I hope you are well today and that the rest of your week is a smooth one; see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

DATE: 2016/03/09 JESSEN:
"Hey there, I'm so sorry for the delay! As I mentioned on the TIME FOR SLEEP Facebook Page, I've been down-and-out with an exceptionally bad sinus and chest infection that has let me unable to do much of anything for quite some time - hence my inability to update last week and the relatively small update this week. I'm on the mend now despite still feeling fairly under-the-weather and weak. As I said, I have a bit of a small update for you today so please check out this new set of character sketches from 'Wildcard: Flock'! I haven't been able to get in much gaming since I got sick but I'm hoping to hop back into both 'Bravely Default' and 'Street Fighter V' very soon. I'd love to stay and ramble but I'd best get myself some more rest so I hope you are well and that your week is a grand one and I look forward to stopping by again next Wednesday; cheers!"

"Hello again, how're you today? I'm finally starting to feel better though I'm still feeling a little congested and extremely worn-out. I hope you have been happy and healthy though and I hope today finds you well! I just wanted to swing by quickly and drop off another small content update - another sketchy set of illustrations, this time from 'Moons Opera'! These have been a lot of fun to do but I am looking forward to getting back to some more substantial artwork soon. As I still haven't been feeling my best, I haven't been doing a ton of gaming (or a ton of anything for that matter) but I have been cracking back into a bit of 'Bravely Default' in anticipation of 'Bravely Second' and just absolutely adore the game and the nostalgic-yet-modern feel of the experience! I'd love to ramble on some more about 'Bravely Default' but I am well overdue on some bed-rest so I think I'd better call it a day. I hope you have a grand week and I will be back again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello and sincere apologies once more for a delayed content update! My cat was injured and had to undergo surgery, which had me going back-and-forth to my veterinarian's office and then subsequently looking after a post-surgery, slightly-stumbling, sore-and-angry feline. She is resting and recovering now and I've had time to put together some concept art for you to check out today so please do take a look at these Class designs! Not only that, but in thanks for your patience concerning my delayed and missed updates this week, I'm planning to update on my Birthday this coming Monday and again on the usual Wednesday! Thanks again for sticking with me and I look forward to popping in twice next week! Anyways, I hope you are well and in for a grand weekend and I will see you again come Monday, cheers!"

"Hey there, how's it going? I hope your week is off to a grand start! I had a lovely weekend celebrating my Birthday and wanted to swing by today - on my Birthday proper - to bring you a bonus content update in thanks for your patience with my delayed updates this month (and that one time I was super-crazy-sick and couldn't update at all)! So please check out a few more Class designs and look forward to another update, as usual, this Wednesday! I'm eager for this evening when I can crack into some more 'Street Fighter V' as both today and Wednesday Capcom plan to drop sizable content updates to the game supposedly including the return of Alex as well as costumes, stages, and a shop for combatants to spend their fight money! I'm eager to see how this pans out as the plan Capcom set forth was that all (or at least most) of the 'Street Fighter V' DLC will be able to be either bought as DLC, earned through amassing fight money in game, or using their paid currency as a sort of bridge between the two ideas. I think this is a nice way of letting players either buy the stages, costumes, and even characters they want, or earn them by putting in the hours of play. I'm certainly not opposed to this model and I'm curious how it will work in action. Anyways, I'm off to enjoy the remainder of my Birthday! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again on Wednesday, cheers!"

In case you missed it, I popped in on Monday for an extra 'thanks for your patience' update and I'm back again today with another class concept illustration so please do check it out! I've had a bit of a busier week this week but I had an incredible weekend and start to my week so things are going by this week rather quickly! I haven't had a chance to crack into the new 'Street Fighter V' update just yet but I'm hoping to later today. I may end up getting a little distracting gaming-wise this week as I got a few new entries to add to my growing backlog including 'The Division' which I am eager to check out to be sure!   APRIL 2016

DATE: 2016/04/13 JESSEN:
"Hey there, how're you doing? Sorry it's been a bit since I updated last... This has been a nasty season for my immune system and I came down with a bad case of the flu last week. I was hoping to have it beat by the weekend so I could at least post some new content for you then but it lingered a little longer than anticipated. My sincere apologies and some good news: As I'm feeling a bit better (albeit rather worn-out) I plan to update both today and this coming Friday to make up for my absence! So please check out some species-specific class designs today with something similar coming this Friday! I'm rather sick of being, well, sick this this season so here's to spring finally starting and the hopes that I'll be much healthier again soon! While I was down-and-out, I did manage to crack into 'The Division' a little bit as well as play a tiny bit of 'Street Fighter V' (which I'll talk more about on Friday). 'The Division' is a ton of fun though I'm not much for the Dark Zones as PVP has never really been my thing. While the game is a ton of fun and very well done with a high degree of polish, it is still and Ubisoft game so I have encountered some pacing issues with the story, abrupt side missions, a some bugs here and there (especially in terms of audio). The issues in 'The Division', though, are few and far between which is a blessing and I hope to see at least some of them ironed out as updates filter in (like not being able to collect some Echo locations, for example). Anyways, I do hope you have a grand week and I look forward to dropping in on Friday! Until then my friend, cheers!"

"Hello again! I hope your week has been a good one and that you're heading into the weekend happy and healthy! I wanted to swing by to bring you another bonus update since the flu kept me from my regular Wednesday update last week. I have for you today some more species-specific class designs so please do check it out! I haven't had too much free time this week so I haven't had very much gaming time. However, I hope to change that this weekend as I'd love to get in some more of 'The Division' and 'Street Fighter V'. The new update to 'Street Fighter V' has been a ton of fun! I didn't get to play a ton of it due to being sick but the addition of Alex is a blast! Alex plays well and feels like a solid addition to the roster. I'm also really digging the new costumes and variety of things purchasable via Fight Money and I look forward to future expansion. Capcom has even acknowledged that they failed to realize how popular elements such as in-game purchasable and the single-player story were so hopefully future 'Street Fighter' entries (or any other series for that matter) will see more robust launches in the future. Well, I'd best be off as I have a bit more work to do before I can wind down for the day. Have yourself a grand weekend and I'll see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hey there! How are you doing this week? I've been a little worn-out still as my schedule has been extremely hectic but I'm hoping things will even out later this week/early next week. I wanted to just pop in quickly and bring you some fresh new content so please take a look at these alien species class designs! I've had a small bit of time to crack into some more of 'The Division' and I'm finding that - like many Ubisoft games - the more I play and the deeper I get into the game, the more bugs, glitches, and errors peek through. I've found quite a few broken surfaces, dialogue and subtitle errors, climbing glitches, and numerous bouts of lag during firefights. Overall, the game is still a ton of fun and one of the more polished Ubisoft titles I've played in recent years, though some of these bugs are starting to get more then frustrating. Additionally, the first big content addition arrived for free and added the new Incursion missions. While it's awesome they added the first big batch of content for free, it has been plagued with issues ever since - most notable of which involves an exploit that many players have been taking advantage of that has yet to see any action taken against it, let alone seen it fixed. To top things off, I was given a copy of the Season Pass for my Birthday but Season Pass holders have been finding content missing and, most recently, an announcement of new costumes for the Season Pass that were not actually part of the Season Pass at all. I'm glad Ubisoft has been trying to step up their game quality but there is still quite a ways to go. I hope you have a grand week and I'll see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello again and sorry once more for another delayed update. Both my cat and myself have been having a rough couple of weeks health-wise which resulted in a delay in getting some content posted for you to check out until now. Speaking of, please do take a look and a few more class concept illustrations today and I have a few more coming for you next Wednesday so I promise to be able to post in time for that! Thanks again so much for continuing to come on back and for you patience when life gets in the way and I am left unable to post. I'm winding down my playthrough of 'The Division' as I've finished the initial story and, as multiplayer continues to devolve thanks to more and more bugs, exploits, and glitches, I'm left with little else to do in the game. I'm planning to dive back in to 'Street Fighter V' and 'Bravely Default' as soon as I can but between work, health, and apartment hunting, I'm left with little free time these days. Hopefully I'll be bale to get in some gaming this weekend and I hope you're in for a grand weekend yourself! Thanks for dropping by and see you again come Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello and happy May! How have you been? I certainly hope your month is off to a good start and that you are healthy and happy! I wanted to bring you another piece of species equipment designs so feel free to take a look at today's content update! My schedule has been a little hectic still but I'm happy to be here and on time this week and hope to be back to a regular update schedule now. As well, in the coming months I hope to get back to more frequent updates. Mind you, I may not be able to jump right back to three times a week but at least twice a week would be nice to do again! I'm still sorting out my schedule, clearly, but I'll keep you posted and hopefully you'll be seeing more content here again soon! I didn't get to do too much gaming over the weekend and when I did, I just ended up diving back into the broken mess that is 'The Division' and tried doing a few things I had left undone. Not much progress was made, so I opted instead to start catching up on the story content in 'Final Fantasy XIV' which I am enjoying far more! Hopefully I'll still get some time to crack into 'Street Fighter V' and 'Bravely Default' a little more but we'll see what this week/weekend holds. I hope you have a grand week, a wonderful weekend and I'll be back again next Wednesday; cheers!"

"Hey there, how're you doing today? I hope your week has been going well so far and that it closes out even better! I've been a little tired this week but nothing too bad as I had a fun and fantastic weekend last weekend which started my week out well! I wanted to bring you another class concept illustration, this time featuring the designs from the SAIGO YUME stories so please check out this new piece of concept art! I'm still attempting to bring you a whole host of new concept art and working toward updating more frequently as well but my schedule is still evening out so it's going to take a little longer before I'm able to dedicate more of my time to my art but progress is being made! I haven't had to much gaming time lately either but I have pretty much finished up with 'The Division' and hope to return when more of the Season Pass content arrives; hopefully by then Ubisoft will have fixed at least some of the bugs plaguing the game. I have been itching to get back to both 'Street Fighter V' and 'Bravely Default' but opted to take a slight detour and get back to that 'Final Fantasy XIII' replay that I started quite some time ago. I know 'Final Fantasy XIII' gets a lot of flack but I actually quite like it and appreciate 'Final Fantasy XIII-2' even more! I have yet to play 'Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII' which has always bugged me as I picked it up when it first came out but never had the chance to play it. Hopefully I'll be able to change that in the near future! Anyways, have yourself a grand week/weekend and I'll see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hi there, how've you been? I hope this week finds you well and that it winds down even better! I've been feeling a little burnt out from all my recent work but I'm hoping to get a break soon. I wanted to pop in today briefly, though, and bring you a quick look at some more class designs, this time from the GAIA CHRONICES so please do take a look! I haven't had nearly as much down-time as I had been hoping over the past few days but I've been able to sneak in a tiny bit of 'Final Fantasy XIII' here and there. I'm super excited for the upcoming 'Final Fantasy XV' so I figure playing some 'Final Fantasy XIII' and 'Final Fantasy XIV' between now and September should tide me over. Apologies for being on the brief side today but I'm off to get some more work done now so I must bid you farewell.      "Hey there, how's your week been? Sorry for the late posting this week but, as you might have seen on the TIME FOR SLEEP Facebook Page, there has been a change to my schedule recently. I was figuring I could keep updating Wednesdays but due to the shit in my days working and days off, Fridays look to be the best day now to bring you new content updates. So I hope you won't mind, but I need to move my update days to each Friday until I can get back to updating multiple days a week again (don't worry, that looks to be coming in the near future). For the first of the new Friday updates, I bring you a sketchy piece of the supporting cast from 'Moons Opera' so please do take a look - and thanks again for your patience! I'm starting to have just a tiny bit more time off so I managed to sneak in some extra gaming time last weekend. While I'm still working away on my 'Final Fantasy XIII' replay, I opted to finally try out 'Uncharted: Drake's Fortune' which was a blast! I had never played any of the 'Uncharted' series when they were first released but always heard good things. I'm always impressed with the work of Naughty Dog and, though the first 'Uncharted' is quite a few years old now, quite enjoyed the game. I played the Remastered version so the graphics were quite polished. The gameplay was still quite solid and the characters and their interactions were what most appealed to me. I'm about to dig into the second in the series so I'll be sure and share my thoughts with you next week. For now, I'm off to get the last of my work done for the day. I hope you have a grand weekend and I'll see you again next Friday, cheers!"

DATE: 2016/06/03 JESSEN:
"Hello there and happy Friday! I hope your week and month have been great so far! I've had a bit of a slower-paced week then usual which is nice. I even had a chance to play some videogames and, more importantly, I got a chance to do up a much more polished piece of concept art that I wanted to share with you today - please take a look at this illustration from 'Wildcard: Flock'! On the gaming side of things, I managed to both play and finish 'Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' which was excellent! It seemed to really take what was good about the first game and amp it up, bringing bigger action sequences (such as a great fight in a collapsing building), more story, and - my personal favourite - more dialogue and character development (I loved the conversations at the end especially)! It was a blast to play and I'm very eager to jump into the third game but I've been a little distracted by 'Overwatch' at the moment. My brother and I opted to pick it up as I was rather enamoured with the art style. Blizzard tends to be a little hit-and-miss with me as I like their games visually but don't usually tend to play them long (or at all). Not to say Blizzard doesn't make good games as they tend to have a knack for distilling some of the best elements of a genre and building a game around it. 'Overwatch' is constructed in much the same formula and it's a ton of fun to play! I was missing having some story to go on but their free online comics and beautiful animated shorts are certainly making up for it! But enough rambling for me as I best be off for now. I hope you have a grand weekend and I'll see you again next Friday! Until then my friend, cheers!"

"Hey there, how was your week? I know I'm updating right under the wire today as Friday is nearly over but I hope your day was a good one and I appreciate your patience for my delay in updating. I've had a bit of an off week thanks to my overall mental health but I'm starting to feel much more human again finally. I wanted to come by today and bring you a brand new cast illustration from 'Moons Opera' so please take a look, I just finished it up! As I wasn't at my best this week I didn't manage to get to terribly much done outside of the necessary but I did manage to finish up with collecting treasures in 'Uncharted 2: Among Thieves'! As such, I started in on 'Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception' last night since I couldn't sleep and really loved the opening! The dialogue has been further built upon as has the gameplay and the opening includes a heavily context-based fight in a bar that was executed quite well! I'm digging it so far and looking forward to playing more over the weekend (hopefully)! Anyways, I've a little more work to knock out before I can rest for the night so I'd best be off. I hope you have a grand weekend and I'll see you again next Friday; cheers!"

"Hello again, how're you today? I hope you've had a grand and relatively stress-free week and that it is winding down nicely! I a bit off today as I've had an emotionally and physically exhausting week... However, I wanted to swing by with another cast illustration for you from 'Moons Opera so please do check it out! I haven't had a ton of time or energy to do much gaming this week but I have been playing some 'Overwatch' here and there when I can and still loving it! For how light on story the game is, the extra content available online shows just how much work was lovingly put into each character and the history they are building on; very impressed! Other than that, I've been keeping a close eye on E3 and am excited by a number of the announcements and a bit frustrated by a few others. At first I was a little dismayed that the newly-announced 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim' HD Remaster was more of a cash-grab but after hearing that if you have the game plus DLC on Steam, you get upgraded to the remaster for free, I was more placated. Not so much the case for 'Final Fantasy XV: A King's Tale' as I despise store-specific DLC pre-order bonuses. That aside, I really would like to get it if I can as I love how much they have built around the 'Final Fantasy XV' universe already! Lastly, I loved the teaser/demo for 'Resident Evil 7: Biohazard' and played it more than once over, scouring it for secrets. The game really looks to take it back to the horror roots of the series and with some of the creative team behind the cancelled 'Silent Hills' on board, it looks to be a horrifying treat! Anyways have yourself a grand weekend and see you next Friday, cheers!"

"Hey, how're you? I hope you've been doing well this week and that you're in for a fun and refreshing weekend! I had a bit of an off week but I'm starting to feel a little better so hopefully this weekend will leave me feeling more myself. I haven't had too much of an opportunity to do any new artwork this week but I do have another new cast illustration for you today from 'Moons Opera' so please do take a look! I haven't really been able to do much gaming this past week either but I have jumped in on the occasional match in 'Overwatch' which I still quite enjoy. I'm eager to get back to 'Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception' as soon as I have the chance and hopefully I'll be able to finish out the series soon after. For now, though, I'd best back to work so I hope you have a grand day and I will see you again come next Friday! Until then, cheers!"

  JULY 2016

DATE: 2016/07/01 JESSEN:
"Hey there, happy July (and happy Canada Day if you're from around!) How're things with you? I hope you've had yourself a grand week! Apologies in advance if I'm a little brief or scattered today, I've had a bit of a hectic week myself and I'm running a little low on steam. I wanted to pop in today though as I have another new cast illustration to share with you, this time from 'Wildcard: Driven' so please do check it out! I haven't had as much time to draw this week as I would have liked, nor have I had much time to do any gaming. I did manage to pick up 'Grand Kingdom' as well as 'Umbrella Corps' but I've yet to have a chance to try either out. Hopefully this weekend will provide an opportunity to sneak in some gaming! I had really wanted to pick up 'Mighty No. 9' but my I couldn't stretch my funds far enough (and with the Steam Summer Sale up-and-running too!) The reviews of the 'Mega Man' styled platformer - from the creator of 'Mega Man' no less - have been far less than stellar... It's a real shame but I'm hoping to try it out for myself when I get the chance. Anyways, I'm rambling... I hope you have yourself a grand weekend and I'll be back again come next Friday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how're you? Another brief post from me today as it has been extremely hot where I am recently which has been causing power outages so I both don't want to spend too long on my heat-emanating PC nor risk having to write my prep my update more than once. I hope you have been well this past week and I wanted to share with you another new cast illustration today from 'Wildcard: Driven'! I haven't been able to get in much gaming this week though I did manage to try out the rather odd 'Umbrella Corps'. I really dig that Capcom has decided to diversify the 'Resident Evil' series, bringing the main series back to its survival-horror roots while producing new, action-heavy titles as side stories to keep bringing content to fans of the newer entries in the series. 'Umbrella Corps' was made by a small team on a tight budget and while there are a number of interesting and fun elements to it, the multiplayer - which is the main focus of the title - is a little broken. The only way to unlock new gear is to play the ranked matches (for some reason no other game mode will let you earn EXP which grants you new equipment) but, as such, one ends up getting matched with players that are near-impossible to defeat as they are far more skilled and are backed by far better gear. I wouldn't say the game is a write-off by any means but it's not a very strong first effort in their line of action-focused 'Resident Evil' titles. Anyways, I've rambled longer than intended so I had best be off before my luck runs out! Have a grand weekend and see you again next Friday, cheers!"

"Hey there! How have you been? I'm terribly sorry I was unable to bring you any new content last week; as I posted on Facebook, I was debilitated by a Strep Throat/Sinus Infection combo that left me unable to get out of bed for the majority of last week. While I'm still quite sick and on the mend, I wanted to stop by today as it's the Anniversary of TIME FOR SLEEP and I wanted to implement some minor behind-the-scenes adjustments I had been working on as well as bring you some fresh new content to check out! So, without further ado, please take a look at this new cast illustration from 'Wildcard: Driven'! I want to bring you a bonus content update as well in order to make up for my absence last week but, as I am still quite under-the-weather, that will have to wait until I'm healthier (hopefully next week or the week after but I will keep you posted on that). I haven't really had much focus in order to do any gaming but I have popped in to 'Overwatch' briefly as I'm quite eager to play as the newly-announced (and newly added) support character Ana! While I haven't played as her yet, I love that Blizzard plans to continue adding maps and characters to 'Overwatch' for free. Anyways, off to get some rest before digging in to the rest of my work. I hope you have a happy and healthy weekend and I look forward to dropping by again next week! Until Friday, cheers!"

"Well hello there! How have you been? It's been far too long since I've been able to check in with you via TIME FOR SLEEP and I'm sincerely sorry for my prolonged absence. Due to the massive and time-consuming move that was my migration to my new apartment and a bad batch of illnesses and injuries that followed, I was left unable to get much work done for my day job let alone any artwork. I was extremely disappointed to miss out on sharing - or even producing - artwork these past couple of months but I am slowly recovering and getting back on top of things. If you were able to keep up with me via Facebook then you will know that I haven't gone a week without wanting to post and I must say, it feels great to be back! Sadly, I am not at full capacity just yet so my updates will be a little infrequent for the time being. That said, I do have a new piece of 'Owl and Fish-man' content for you today and I promise to be back by the end of the month for my annual horror-themed content update to 'Tainted Symphony' so please follow me on Facebook for some updates as to when exactly. I hope to be back to posting regularly soon so don't fret - I have so many new ideas and stories I want to share with you! For now, however, I must be off as I need to catch some rest before I get down to the rest of my work for the day. I hope you have been well and that October has been a grand month for you so far! Thanks for checking in and I'll be seeing you again soon, cheers!"

"Hello and Happy Halloween! I'm happy to be back today and to be able to bring you a new Blood Arts piece as has become my annual tradition around this spooky season! Please do check out 'Tainted Symphony' for a brand new piece of content! I'm still not sure how often I'll be able to update just yet as my health and schedule have still been working against me a bit. I'll be doing my best to get back to a steady schedule soon though but for now, I recommend following the TIME FOR SLEEP Facebook page for info on when I will be posting next. I will definitely be bringing you some new content in both November and December to be sure so worry not! In my down time or when I am under-the-weather I've been replaying the original 'Mass Effect' which has been a lot of fun as I recently made my way through the 'Mass Effect' novels (minus the fourth atrocity) and am currently working my way through the comics. As well, I just picked up 'World of Final Fantasy' which plays like a kind of hybrid of 'Kingdom Hearts' and 'Pokémon' and ends up being a delightful game to wind down the day with. Well, I hope you are in for a Happy Halloween, a grand week, and I look forward to dropping by again soon! All the best my friend, cheers!"

"Hey there, how're you today? It's good to be posting again today and I hate these long delays between updates. I appreciate your patience though and I'm really hoping that come January things will be back to normal! For the time being, however, I will keep you posted on Facebook as to when I can post as I have the past few months. Now, as for today, I have a new piece of character concept art from 'Saigo Yume I' so please do take a look and I hope that you enjoy! In my scattered downtime recently I've been finishing up 'World of Final Fantasy' and doing my best of finished me replay of the first 'Mass Effect' and have been enjoying each for totally different reasons. It's a blast replaying the original 'Mass Effect' and my excitement for 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' is increasing steadily. As for 'World of Final Fantasy', I mentioned before that it is a lighthearted game to unwind with and, while the story is on the lighter side and the cameos aren't always the most fleshed out, there is plenty of content and the gameplay is fun and solid. I'm coming to the end of each game which is perfect timing as I am extremely excited for the release of 'Final Fantasy XV' tomorrow and will be digging into it the moment I can! With that said, I'm hoping to clear out some extra work before then so I can insure a little free time so I'd best get to it. I hope you have a grand day, a wonderful week, and I look forward to swinging by next month with my regular wintery Holiday update so look forward to that at the very least! See you soon, cheers!"

  DECEMBER 2016

DATE: 2016/12/23 JESSEN:
"Hello there, how have you been? I wanted to swing by today to bring you my annual wintery holiday illustration before the end of the year! I'm not sure that I'll have to opportunity to update again before 2017 rolls around but I was really excited to bring you this new illustration (done in the same style as my illustration from last year) so please check it out! I promise to be back in January with some new content for you and, as the year progresses, my update schedule should increase at least a little (but hopefully a lot) so stay tuned for that as well. As always, I'll keep you updated via Facebook when I can - and do - post new content. I haven't had a ton of free time this month still but what free time I have had I ended up spending on 'Final Fantasy XV' which I absolutely love so far! I definitely do recommend taking in 'Kingsglaive' and 'Brotherhood' before cracking into 'Final Fantasy XV' proper as the visually-stunning CG movie and the genuinely-moving animated shorts add a lot to the story of he game and vice-versa. I'm still not far into 'Final Fantasy XV' but I plan to take in plenty more over my year-end holidays. I'm also super excited for January as 'Resident Evil 7' drops then and I've devoured the 'Beginning Hour' demo several times over and with relish! Not to mention that 'The Last of Us: Part II' and 'Ni No Kuni 2' were both announced and I may or may not have gotten a little emotional at the first trailer of the former. Anyways, I hope that you have a wonderful holiday season, a grand end to your year, and I look forward to seeing you in January and all the 2017 has to offer! Until then my friend, cheers!"
