BEDTIME STORIES FOR ALL AGES

DATE: 2013/01/02 JESSEN:
"Happy New Year to you! Thanks for dropping by, I hope you had a wonderful holiday and I'm happy to be bringing you some new content today! First off, I wanted to mention that I've run a few minor repairs and updates on the site - including (finally) updating and formatting all of the 'Owl and Fish-man' pages; sorry it took so long! - so if you catch anything I missed, please do let me know. Now, as for today's content: I have unlocked a new story for you titled 'Zombie Feet' which, despite its name, is not about zombies. It is, however, a story I developed a different illustrative style for which, it so happens, I also use for 'Tainted Symphony' (which is totally about zombies). So I have posted a piece of concept art to introduce this new story to you; feel free to check it out! Now, with 2013 upon us, I plan to be bringing you a steady stream of weekly concept art in addition to (finally) audio story content as well as more pages - and hopefully the conclusion of - 'Owl and Fish-man' book one. I'm not sure what the year will bring in terms of available time, but for now, I will continue to update each Wednesday (and Fridays when I can) with the hopes of increasing my update schedule when time provides; I'll certainly be keeping you posted on how things are going here. I hope your year is off to an excellent start and I hope to see you here again next Wednesday! Until then, all the best, cheers!"

"Hey, how's it going? I've had an extremely busy schedule as of late so I just have a small, post-holiday update for you today that comes in the form of character profiles from the wintery-themed TWIST TALES story, 'Winter Wonders'! Though not a huge update, rest assured I have some new content I have been working on and you'll likely get to see it next Wednesday so I do hope you'll come on back then. Before my hectic schedule started, I managed to get in some relaxation time and finish up the DLC for 'Mass Effect 3' and I was so very impressed! I was quite pleased with how robust both the Leviathan and Omega add-ons were, with each adding in hours of gameplay (that included some nice usage of multiplayer mission types applied in a fun and effective way) and story (that fits seamlessly into the story without feeling awkward and even, in some cases, helps to build on the newly reworked ending) complete with their - as usual - quality voice acting. Additionally, I was quite surprised to see each DLC pack even added in some beautifully rendered cinematics to basically bookend each new 'chapter'. I would highly recommend each of these DLC packs, especially if you're itching for a 'Mass Effect' fix. And speaking of, did you hear they announced 'Mass Effect 4' is in the works? Apparently more details are coming this year so I'm eager to see what is to come next! Anyways, enough videogame chatter out of me! Have a great week and see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how're you today? I've been a fair bit under-the-weather this week but I'm hoping to be feeling a bit better come the end of the week/weekend. I have for you a brand new cast illustration from the FUTURE TEXTS story 'Wildcard: Driven' as I have finished rounding out the major cast members and I am now working out more of the story. I've also been working on another project bit by bit so expect to see some more 'Wildcard: Driven' content over the next little while followed by some content from another category (likely the HISTORY TOMES). I've been pretty busy as of late but I have had a little time to sit back and play some games here and there. Mostly I've been replaying the GameCube remake of 'Resident Evil' and, since I haven't been feeling so well, I've been trying out the new Square Enix/Mobage social game 'Final Fantasy: Airborne Brigade' which is a nice 'Final Fantasy' twist on your standard Facebookesque game. I'm still not down with this format's micro transaction pricing structure but you don't need to pay to enjoy something like this. Anyways, I hope you are well and I look forward to popping by again next Wednesday. Until then, cheers!"

"Hey there, how're you doing? Unfortunately I have been really down-and-out with the flu since last week so work has been a little slow-going over the last little while. Hopefully I'll be back on my feet again soon though and I hope you have been faring better! I have a new cast illustration from 'Wildcard: Driven' for you today so feel free to check it out as this particular character is a member of one of the alien species that will be present in the FUTURE TEXTS stories. While resting up over the past few days I've just been playing some lighter games; namely replaying 'Final Fantasy II' and spending a little more time playing the Square Enix/Mobage social game 'Final Fantasy: Airborne Brigade' (which, if you're thinking of trying it out, feel free to use my Invite ID: 8a81c389 as a reference as we'll both get a special summon and that's always fun). So, I'm off to get some rest but I hope you have a great week and I'll be back again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how's it going? I'm starting to feel better again, which is nice, so I've been able to get back down to work and today, I have some more new content for you. Here is another cast illustration from 'Wildcard: Driven' and I've been busy finishing up the illustrations for the rest of the cast so expect to see them all soon. I still haven't really had much time to do any serious gaming so I've just been tossing in a little relaxation play behind 'Final Fantasy II' which is nice. I'm really looking forward to 'Dead Space 3' and I'm really excited that they have added in co-op so I can't wait to dig into that! I picked up 'Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch' but I've not yet had time to sit down with the Studio Ghibli venture (though I'm itching to) so hopefully things will slow down a little bit over the next little while and I can jump into some gaming. Anyways, I hope you are well and I'll be back again next Wednesday! Have a good one and see you then, cheers!"

DATE: 2013/02/06 JESSEN:
"Good day to you, how have you been? I've been feeling a little run-down this week as I've had a bit of a busy couple of weeks. But things will hopefully be letting up soon so I'm looking forward to that. I have another cast illustration from 'Wildcard: Driven' for you today so I hope you enjoy! I have a few more of these for you and I'm hoping to get in some work on some story content for you soon but I'll still have to keep you posted on that front. I'm hoping to get a little down time to work on some fun art-themed stuff such as story content soon as well as get in some gaming time. I'm still itching to crack into 'Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch' not to mention 'Dead Space 3' and even 'Assassin's Creed 3' (which I still have yet to play even a little of). So, fingers crossed I can relax and do a little drawing and gaming in the near future. And speaking of 'future', I have been on a real Science Fiction kick these days so you will likely notice that much of my content updates have been situated in the FUTURE TEXTS. I am constantly working on a variety of different projects but my Sci-Fi work has been my main focus these days so I hope you don't mind too much. Have yourself a grand week and I will see you again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how're you today? I hope you've been well as of late! I'm feeling a little more well-rested at the moment and, while my weekend didn't go at all as I had planned, I managed to get a little artwork done on Sunday and again on Monday so I'm feeling pretty good! Speaking of, I have yet another cast illustration for you today from 'Wildcard: Driven' with another hopefully coming to you next week. I've still been on my Sci-Fi kick so I've been doing a lot of sketching in the FUTURE TEXTS vein as of late so the steady stream of concept art from that category will continue for the next little while. I still haven't had a chance to crack into 'Ni no Kuni' or 'Dead Space 3' (and, thinking about it, I never got a chance to play the Severed DLC for 'Dead Space 2'...) but hopefully this week will provide me an opportunity. As an aside, I'm curious to see more about the proposed next generation Playstation and XBOX as I keep reading about leaked specification and planned implementation so I'm curious to see - after the release of the more hardcore-gamer-appealing Wii U and the tidbits of information on the 'Steam Box' - what this generation of consoles will bring to gamers. Time will tell, time will tell. Anyways, have yourself a grand week and I'll be back again come next Tuesday (and hopefully, soon, more frequently than just once a week), cheers!"

"Hey, how are you? I decided to drop in a little early this week to bring you a small update in the form of some character illustrations from the CITY STORIES tale 'Bleeding Hearts'. I've brought you both the illustrations for the main protagonist and the main antagonist for the tale so I hope you enjoy this small update! I will still be back again tomorrow with and update to 'Wildcard: Driven' so feel free to drop back in then as well. I've had a bit of a hectic week so far but I have managed to get in a little time to do some sketching and I even finished up with 'Final Fantasy II: Soul of Rebirth' - and I have opted to keep the comfort gaming trend going and launch into 'Final Fantasy III' in my sparse free time. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get some more artwork done for you over the next few days (as I would like to bring you some more FUTURE TEXTS content as well as some HISTORY TOMES content) so I'll keep you updated. Have yourself a grand day today and I hope to see you again tomorrow, cheers!"

"Hello again, I hope this week has been treating you well so far! I dropped in yesterday (as you may already know) and put up some character illustration from 'Bleeding Hearts' - unlocking the 'Bleeding Hearts' Character section - and today, I have another cast concept illustration from 'Wildcard: Driven' for you! I've been working the past few days on doing mechanical and weapon design for various entries in the FUTURE TEXTS section and I may bring some of the more refined concepts to you in the future but my main focus at the moment is getting prepared for some audio story content. I was really hoping to bring some to you before the end of last year but with the changes in my life and schedule over the last little while, I was unable to get that particular content ready for you; my apologies! But I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things soon and get some of that story content prepared, so hang in there! Anyways, I won't have a chance to pop back in this week but I will be doing my best to drop by as often as I can with content for you and hopefully increase my content updates to more than once a week over the next little while but we'll see how things go. Thanks for stopping by and have a grand week/weekend! See you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Good day to you, I hope this day sees you well! I come to you today bearing some new content which will also unlock a new HISTORY TOMES story! I've been doing quite a bit of sketching over the past little while and, though I don't have much polished work to show, I wanted to bring you one of the bigger concept sketch pieces I have been working on from the story 'FireWorks'. This piece features the character of Sebastion and, should I get the chance, I would like to do a companion piece to this featuring the other main character, Mellow. You may or may not be familiar with the characters of Sebastion and Mellow as I ran the original 'FireWorks' short comic on TIME FOR SLEEP many years ago. It has always been a favourite of mine and I do promise to polish and re-upload the story in the near future. However, for the time being, I hope you enjoy this new sketch! I still have not had much time for gaming these days but I have been playing a little 'Final Fantasy III' now and then in my down time while my stack of new games continues to grow (just recently I added 'Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance' to the pile and I may end up adding the new 'Tomb Raider' soon if my wallet will stop weeping). So for now, I bid you a grand week - and an even grander weekend - and I hope to see you here again next Wednesday, cheers!"

DATE: 2013/03/06 JESSEN:
"Hello there, how are you today? I'm sure you may be aware but I have been a bit busy as of late. However, at the end of last week I did manage to finish up the second of two big commissions I have been working on since the end of last year, which was a big relief! The commissions were a lot of fun to do but it's also nice to see them all finished up. Now I may have a little more time - in terms of my art, at least - to get some things done so I hope to bring you even more concept art over coming weeks! While I still ended up having a pretty busy weekend, I did finish up the last (for now) of the cast illustrations for 'Wildcard: Driven' so, that said, today I would like to introduce you to the Ogza monk, Icxx! Outside of finishing these cast illustrations, I had a little time to do some sketching and have been splitting the time between sketching the cast from 'FireWorks' and doing clothing and mechanical designs for various FUTURE TEXTS entries. I should have a mix of content to show you over the next little while (though I may deliver the remaining cast illustrations over the next few weeks once I get them all formatted and such) so feel free to drop on by to check that out! I've yet to do much gaming and have just been playing 'Final Fantasy III' still to unwind (still love the remake) and dabbling in the 'Dead Space' game on my iPhone (getting me in gear for when I can sit down with 'Dead Space 3'). Anyways, have a grand week and see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hey, how's it going? I hope today finds you well! Things seem to be slowing down just a touch for me which is quite a nice change from the norm these days and I've managed to get in a fair amount of time on some artwork over the past week. I'm going to be trying to update more frequently over the next little while but I'm still working out the details on content so I'll keep you posted. As well, I've started some preliminary recordings for some audio stories so I should have some of those for you soon (though I will be likely starting out small in this case). For today, though, I have for you another cast illustration from 'Wildcard: Driven' with two to follow this piece which will round out the main cast. I'm really looking forward to telling you some more stories soon and I'm really hoping that these audio stories will be the perfect way to do so. Despite my easing schedule, I still haven't really had much time to play any videogames (I've mostly just been drawing from when I finish work until I crawl into bed) so it's still just been 'Final Fantasy III' or 'Final Fantasy: Airborne Brigade' to unwind here and there. My stack of unplayed games continues to grow, however, so hopefully I will have a chance to sit down and do some serious gaming in the next couple of week. On that note, did you hear they got the old Cavia band back together and are working on 'Drakengard 3' for the PS3? So excited! Have a grand week and see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"G'day, how are you? I hope you are well and that this week has been treating you kindly. I've been having a rather hectic and unexpected few days so I'm still trying to get my bearings. Despite this, however, I have managed to get some more artwork done and some of the illustrations I have been working on I will post for you to take a look at in a couple of weeks. This week and next, though, I would like to show you the last two cast illustrations I have done for 'Wildcard: Driven'. Fair warning, though, this piece is Not Suitable For Work (NSFW) and at least party earns it's WEB-MA rating. You have been warned. I forced myself to take a little time off over the weekend and managed to actually get in some gaming. I somehow ended up not playing any of the games I have here waiting but, instead, cracked into the final piece of single player DLC for 'Mass Effect 3'. My current circumstances have been pacing me so I have yet to complete the Citadel DLC, but I'm really enjoying it so far. It has quite a different tone than the other DLC stories (and the main scenario in general) but it's quite a nice way to cap off the add-on content I say. Anyways, I'm off to try and get some more work done but I look forward to popping back in again come next week - and hopefully more frequently in the coming weeks. Until next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how are you today? I've had both a physically and mentally exhausting couple of weeks but I'm hoping things will even out a little over the next little while. I haven't had much time to work on any new artwork over the past few days but I have had a little time to look into some adjustments to this site. I'm currently working on streamlining things a little so I will keep you posted on when some of the updates I am now working on will be posted. In terms of artwork, though, I do have a new piece for you today! This is the last of the current 'Wildcard: Driven' cast illustrations and, as with last weeks piece, I want to give you fair warning: this piece is Not Suitable For Work (NSFW) and at least party earns it's WEB-MA rating. You have been warned. On the gaming front, I am getting dangerously close to actually starting in on my backlog of games but, for now, I'm quite content finishing up the 'Mass Effect 3' Citadel DLC (which I'm really enjoying, especially in terms of all of the new conversations). So, I do hope you have a grand end to your week this week, a wonderful weekend and I look forward to dropping by again next Wednesday with some more new content! Until then, cheers!"

DATE: 2013/04/03 JESSEN:
"Hi there, how're things going? I'm still pretty worn out but I've been doing my best to get some more artwork and site designing done in my free time. The piece of content I have for you today is actually a bit of an older illustration but one I still use as a reference when working on the HISTORY TOMES story, 'FireWorks'. I don't tend to post these character concept sheets so it's nice to share them now and I do hope you enjoy taking a look at it! I'll have another of these for you next week and some additional HISTORY TOMES and FUTURE TEXTS content for you in the weeks following (I seem to be working at both ends of the spectrum these days). With my hectic schedule, I haven't managed to play any games since finishing up the 'Mass Effect 3' Citadel DLC but it was quite enjoyable and left me smiling. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the next 'Mass Effect' - which BioWare has been murmuring about for a few months now - as well as 'Dragon Age III: Inquisition'. Also, I've head that many of the creative minds behind 'Mass Effect' are now working on creating an entirely new property so I'll be thrilled to check that out as well! I do really enjoy BioWare's work, despite their often-glitchy launches and poor public relations. Maybe some of that will change now that the CEO of EA has stepped down? I wonder how much of an impact it will have (same goes for Square Enix with Wada stepping down). I suppose time will tell. Have a great week and see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello, how's it going? I had a bit of a rough, emotionally exhausting weekend and I'm hoping things will start to even out a bit in the near future. I haven't had much of a chance to do any artwork but I have managed to scribble down some notes here and there which amount to a few story ideas, character concepts and design notes that I hope to flesh out a little more over the next few days. And speaking of character concepts, I do have a concept art update for you today in the form of the design sheet for Mellow from 'FireWorks'. I'm hoping to do up some really polished illustrations of the pair sometime soon but my schedule is still pretty up-in-the-air. I have had a little time while I've been on the go to do a minor amount of gaming, which has helped to keep my mind busy as of late. Sticking with the convenient handheld kick I've been on recently, I finally cracked into 'Silent Hill: Book of Memories' and I am loving it so far! It may not be your cup of tea but it's basically a 'Silent Hill' RPG in the vein of 'Torchlight' and the classic 'Diablo' games. It's a dungeon crawler with some neat mechanics in place for finding and altering story-based notes. It's quite fun to pick up and play for a bit and has let me finally invest a good amount of time with my PS Vita - not to mention that the score by Daniel Licht is quite nice and even features a return of Mary Elizabeth McGlynn doing the title song for the game! Anyways, have a grand week and see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello again, how have you been? I must apologize for the fact that I am updating a little late today; it has been an extremely busy day. However, things are steadily - albeit slowly - getting back to normal and my schedule is becoming increasingly more manageable. I'm looking forward to bringing you some new content over the next little while and with increasing frequency! For today, I have for you a couple of older pieces which you may be familiar with. These pieces, however, also unlock the SAIGO YUME category here on the site as well as the flagship story of the category, 'Saigo Yume I'. The two pieces I'm bringing you today were done a few years ago but were really helpful in establishing the mood of the tale as well as being integral in establishing two important characters in the tale. I do hope you enjoy and I have a couple more 'Saigo Yume I' pieces I will be bringing you over the next couple of weeks. With my schedule normalizing a bit, I have had some more time to relax and unwind and I even had a chance to dig into more 'Silent Hill: Book of Memories' which is still quite a fun pick-up-and-play kind of game. I also bought the last of the Operation Rainfall localized games, 'Pandora's Tower' (as I'll gladly support more classic RPGs being brought overseas instead of the current trend of way less) which I am eager to check out. For now, though, I must be off to get some more work done. Have a great weekend and I'll be back again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Good day to you! I hope April is winding down nicely for you and I hope you are in for an even better month come May. I had a bit of a rough time this past month - culminating in a nice bout of dental pain - but I'm looking forward to what May brings. I haven't had as much time to work on artwork as I would have liked but I have been continuing to work on some upgrades to TIME FOR SLEEP which should make navigating a little more intuitive. I do, however, have another piece of older artwork for you today from 'Saigo Yume I'. It has been nice to get these pieces uploaded as May of 1996 was when the story was first constructed and so I hope to keep bringing you some general SAIGO YUME story updates next month in order to pay tribute to the one story I have worked on longer than any other. Sadly, my PS3 is down-and-out at the moment so I have not been able to leap into any of my backlog there but I've been content to continue with 'Silent Hill: Book of Memories' and watch the odd movie now and then. I don't know that I have ever mentioned to you but I really liked Robert Rodriguez's 'Predators' (and that fact he used the 'Alien'/'Aliens' naming convention to indicate it was a follow-up to the original 'Predator') and felt it really captured a similar feel to the original. And speaking of movies, have you seen the trailer for 'Thor' yet? Anyways, I'll close my off-topic ramblings for now with the promise that I shall return again come next Wednesday! Until then, cheers!"

DATE: 2013/05/01 JESSEN:
"Hello and happy May! I hope the month is off to a good start for you. I've been doing fairly well though I haven't had as much time with my art as I would have liked so far. I do have a content update for you today, though, and it also unlocks an additional SAIGO YUME story: 'Saigo Yume: Pilot'! This first piece is more of a location sketch though I hope to bring you some character artwork over the next couple of weeks. As I mentioned last week, the first of the SAIGO YUME stories was created in May of 1996 and so, this month, I would like to bring you a variety of various SAIGO YUME content. On another note, outside of my (rather hectic) work schedule I really have not had much time to do any gaming - though I am trying to finish up 'Silent Hill: Book of Memories' and decipher how exactly one would get all the notes to shift to one karmic alignment. I am really looking forward to sitting down with some of my backlog once my PS3 gets back from being repaired and I'm early awaiting 'The Last of Us'! For now, though, it looks like a bit of a busy week ahead of me with, hopefully, a little time set aside for some sketching (I love starting in on a new sketchbook). Have a great week and see you again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

Sketch (x1)

DATE: 2013/05/08 JESSEN:
"G'day to you, how're things? I had quite a restful end to my weekend and start to my week but things have, indeed, been picking up again. I've been doing my best to get some more concept art finished up as well as some more concrete content but it's mostly just ended up as sketches and story ideas scribbled on sticky notes. But I do have some content for you today in the form of a previously unreleased illustration of the main character from 'Saigo Yume: Pilot'. I did this piece a number of years ago but I still love it and I'm happy to share it with you today. I have a few more pieces of SAIGO YUME content that I will be bringing you over the next few weeks which is exciting as the story has been in development for 17 years now in various different forms - I'm quite happy to now have a means with which to show you at least a tiny fraction of the creative process that has gone into it. On the gaming front, I should be getting my PS3 back soon from repairs but - in the mean time - I've been playing 'The Last Story' which I never got a chance to really crack into when it was released here (which really depressed me). But now that I've had some more downtime and a chance to really dig into it, I'm loving it! It has a sort of 'Vagrant Story' feel on the design front and the storytelling is classic Hironobu Sakaguchi (fittingly and lovingly back by the musical mastery of Nobou Uematsu). I'm eager to play more but, for now, it's back to work! See you next week, cheers!"

"Hello again, how're you today? I hope things have been well! I've been on a bit of an odd working and sleeping schedule these days (partly due to an aching tooth that I need to have repaired) but I have managed to sneak in a little time for artwork here and there. I've mostly just been working on fleshing out some stories and doing some minimal sketch work but what I've put together, I'm quite happy with. For today, I have some sketch work for you that was actually done a little while back for the story 'Saigo Yume: Pilot'. I'm continuing to bring you SAIGO YUME concept work this month and I will continue the trend next week (though, next time, it won't be 'Pilot' content). I've had a little time to dig more into 'The Last Story' and I am really enjoying it still. I'm over the half-way mark and I'm really digging the old-school RPG aesthetic it brings to the table. In light of this, though, the news from Square Enix that they will be tailoring releases to specific regions in the future has me a little worried. Games like 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution' and the new 'Tomb Raider' has been excellent and I love that Square pushes itself to explore new territory and try new things but I'm concerned that - like many developers - they feel RPGs are not what Western audiences want. I would hate to see even less RPGs hitting the Western market, especially from a company so well known for it's excellent RPGs. Here's hoping that's not the case. Anyways, have a great week and see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hey there, how's it going? I've been a little worse-for-wear thanks to these tooth problems but I should be all fixed up soon. I haven't been able to get much artwork lately but I have been jotting down a copious amount of notes in preparation for some projects I'm eager to start in on (or get back to) soon. I do have some new content for you today, though, so take a look at the newly unlocked 'Saigo Yume: Life Left Undone'! The first piece I have for you today is one of the first concept illustrations I did for the story and one I've always quite liked. I'm continuing the SAIGO YUME content flow until the end of May after which I'll be bringing some work from other stories, so stay tuned! I've been reading about the new XBOX in bits and pieces and, from what I've read so far, I am extremely disheartened with Microsoft. With all the changes to the XBOX Live Market Place and Windows 8 - especially adding new hoops for software and game developers to jump through in both cases - I was concerned for the XBOX One. Now we're hearing that there will be more added fees for users (from 'always on' games that require a Live membership and mandatory game installs that require other profiles on the system to pay fees to play the same games and re-buy DLC) makes for one anti-consumer, pro-corporation console. I worry for this current trend and I hope things change for the better... and soon. I guess more time on Steam is in order! I hope to see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

I have for you the final piece in the month of SAIGO YUME updates, this one coming from 'Saigo Yume: Life Left Undone'. It is a bit of a sketchy piece but it was fun to do and I hope you like it. I'll be posting some content from some other stories starting again next week so look forward to some updates to the CITY STORIES and HISTORY TOMES sections as well as a possible update to the FUTURE TEXTS over the coming month. For now, though, I'm off to get some rest. I look forward to seeing you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hey, how're you doing? I'm a little better off than last week and my current dental issues should all be fixed come this Thursday. Due, unfortunately, to my poor health and hectic schedule as of late, I've been unable to get much artwork done but I have prepared a steady stream of artwork for you that will be dropping here over the next few weeks. The first piece is a cast illustration from the CITY STORIES tale, 'Violent Violet'. I will have a few similar images from a few different stories for you over the next few weeks so stay tuned! I haven't had much time to do any gaming but I have played little bits of 'The Last Story' (which I'm nearing the end of) and 'Silent Hill: Book of Memories' (which I'm now exploring the post-game of). So my leisure time has been well spent though I'm looking forward to having a little more of it and cracking into some other games when I get the opportunity. Well, I'm off to get some more work done so I do hope you have a great end to your week and I will see you again come next Wednesday! Until then, cheers!"

"Hello there, I do hope you are well. I'm pretty worn out at the moment after a rather hectic start to my week so things have been a little slow going. But I'm getting there and doing my best to take some time to relax and balance it with getting some more work done. I have for you another cast illustration this week, this time from the HISTORY TOMES tale, 'FireWorks'! Though this image only features the two main characters, the cast is reasonably more robust than this (though you may need to wait a little longer to catch a glimpse of the remaining cast members). I'll be bringing you some more cast illustrations over the next couple of weeks - some old and some new - before diving into the brand new content I have been working on so keep on checking back to take a look at some of my character designs over the next little while. I finished up with 'The Last Story' and really loved the way they set up the ending. It was very much like a novel; having the last boss battle/climax occur then having a period of exploration and quests to round out the story and tie up any loose ends. I was quite impressed and really dug the game. I hope we keep seeing more from Sakaguchi and Mistwalker over the next while. Speaking of upcoming games: 'Final Fantasy Versus XIII' is now 'Final Fantasy XV' which is awesome, can't wait! Looking forward to 'Kingdom Hearts III', the next 'InFamous' and the Playstation 4 in general. Quite a nice turn out from Sony at E3 this year! Well, see you next Tuesday, cheers!"

"Hey there, how've you been as of late? I certainly hope all has been well! I've been having a rough few weeks health-wise but I'm starting to feel much better so hopefully things are on the up and up. I've been working on some sketching here and there over the past few days that has amounted to solidifying a story concept I have been working on for a time as well as the creation of an entirely new tale which I will be excited to bring you as soon as possible. Today, though, I've brought you yet another cast illustration, this one featuring a first look at some of the main characters from the HISTORY TOMES story 'Kingdom's Curse'! I'm really looking forward to telling the story of 'Kingdom's Curse' so I'm excited to be able to share some more content from the story with you. Since I've been feeling pretty off lately, I've mostly just been going some comfort gaming in my off hours (namely 'Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles' and 'My Life as a King') just to unwind a bit. When my PS3 comes back from repairs, I look to be spending an inordinate amount of time playing 'The Last of Us' which now sits staring at me, taunting me... peering into my soul. Just can't wait! Anyways, I must be off to get some work done (and, with any luck, some artwork as well) and I hope to see you here again next week for some more concept art. Until then, cheers!"

"Hello again, how are you faring? I've had a bit of an odd week but things seem to be slowing down here considerably so I'm hoping a little normality will return to my schedule in the near future. I've brought you another cast illustration today, this time from 'Voiceless Songs'. Now, there will be a few of these going up over the next few weeks, specifically from 'Voiceless Songs' as we are coming up on the Ten Year Anniversary of TIME FOR SLEEP (mind you, some of those years didn't seem much content being posted) and the story I started the site with was 'Voiceless Songs'. I thought it might be a nice little tribute to toss up some concept work from the tale leading up to the Anniversary (upon which I hope to post something brand new for you to look at). So I do hope you enjoy and I hope you'll come on back and help me celebrate in one-month's time! I'm still on a bit of a 'Crystal Chronicles' kick but I decided to spend a little time and finally play through 'Portal' and 'Portal 2' since they've been staring at me from their place in my Steam library for some time now. I loved the first - who didn't - and am thoroughly enjoying what I've played of the second so far! Here's hoping I'll have some more gaming time in the near future! So do have a grand week, a lovely weekend and I'll see you again come next Wednesday! Until then, cheers!"

"Good day today, I hope today finds you well! I've been working away at a steady-albeit-busy pace over the past couple of week with a small amount of slowdown for Canada Day this past Monday. I've been doing my best to get in some sketching but between the work for my day job and the refinements I'm preparing for TIME FOR SLEEP, I haven't been left with an excess of time. I'm sure this will change soon as we are coming up on the Ten Year Anniversary of TIME FOR SLEEP which is quite exciting! Today, I have some more 'Voiceless Songs' character artwork for you so I do hope you enjoy. I have a couple more of these for you that will, as I mentioned, lead up to the Anniversary - but more on that as we get closer. I haven't had much gaming time in the past week so I haven't progressed much further in 'Portal 2' (which I am dying to finish up; I love Valve's storytelling) but I'm hoping to get back to it late in the week. As an added bonus, it seems I picked the right time to crack into 'Portal 2' as Valve just introduced their new digital collectable trading cards that you can get from playing certain games ('Portal 2' being one of them). I really love this new system as it's a fun bonus that can result in some nice deals (such as gift certificates being awarded when certain collection conditions are met). It's companies like Valve that really inspire confidence in the gaming industry and I wish more companies would take a page from their book. See you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello again, how has your week been going? I've had a bit of a busy one myself and I've been feeling a little off but I have been pretty productive overall. I have not had too much time to do any drawing as of late but in two weeks time that should be remedied. As I've been mentioning, I do have a steady stream of 'Voiceless Songs' cast illustrations rolling out until the Tenth Anniversary of TIME FOR SLEEP so, as promised, here is a new one for today! I just have one more of these for you next week but I will be returning on Monday, July 22nd for a special update (so feel free to pop by then). Much akin to my current gaming tendencies, I have not had much of an opportunity to do any solid gaming but I did finish up with 'Portal 2' which was a treat! As well, I have snuck in the occasional trip into deep space via 'FTL: Faster Than Light'; it really is a lovely game even fraught with death as it is. Well, I'm off to keep plugging away on my current workload but I hope you have a grand end to your week and I look forward to seeing you again come next Wednesday! Until then, cheers!"

"Hey, how're you doing? I've been doing pretty well though things have still been pretty busy. I'm just starting to get back to doing some of the artwork I have been planning to do for some time and, with any luck, I will continue to have an opportunity to delve into my art a little more this week. I have for you one more cast illustration from the CITY STORIES tale 'Voiceless Song' - I do hope you enjoy! As a reminder, I have been keeping up this steady flow of 'Voiceless Songs' content in order to lead up to the TIME FOR SLEEP Ten Year Anniversary. Since the TIME FOR SLEEP Anniversary will be falling on the weekend, I plan to pop by again next Monday, July 22nd instead for a special update; I do hope you will pop back in then as well! Outside of work, I have been gratefully taking advantage of the Steam Summer Sale and picking up what I can on the cheap. As a result, I have been able to flesh out my Steam Library a little more and have just cracked into 'Hotline Miami' which is a wonderful, old-school throwback game as well as a stylish, ultraviolent tribute to the 80s. If that sounds like something that is up your alley, then definitely check it out! Additionally, I still have this affection for the trading cards Valve has added to Steam and I am having a lot of fun collecting - I hope they keep it up! Anyways, I'm off to attempt to get some sleep before diving back into my artwork. I hope you have a wonderful week and I hope to see you again come Monday, cheers!"

"Hello there! Today I'm celebrating the Ten Year Anniversary of TIME FOR SLEEP so I do hope you will join me! As you may notice, I've updated TIME FOR SLEEP again as I thought, in honour of the Tenth Anniversary, I might polish things up a little, add some extra features and information here and there, and further streamline some of the navigation. I hope you enjoy the modified layout as I'll likely be sticking with this one for a while and just doing some minor modifications here and there when need be. Now, to let you know: the character profiles that were up-and-running previously are currently down. Not to worry though, I will be getting the previously-available character pages posted again soon along with some new ones, so just hang in there. Speaking of new content, I have for you a new illustration from the FUTURE TEXTS story, 'Moons Opera' so feel free to check that out now! It's strange: I've been running TIME FOR SLEEP for ten years now. Well, truth be told, some of those years I wasn't really updating much but still, the fact remains that I first got TIME FOR SLEEP rolling in July of 2003. In fact, with the updates to the site, I even managed to dig up all of my old blog posts so you are welcome to check those out below. I've got some plans for this year here at TIME FOR SLEEP - including posting all the original content that aired here as well as finally getting some audio stories up - so I do hope you'll keep on coming back, it's always nice seeing you! Well, thanks for dropping by, I hope you are in for a great start to your week and I'll see you again come Wednesday for another content update. Until then, cheers!"

"Hello again, how're you today? As I mentioned on Monday (and as you can no doubt see) I have updated TIME FOR SLEEP once more in honour of the Ten Year Anniversary of the site. Everything should run a little more smoothly now and should look a little more polished. Additionally, I've made the majority of things button so it there is something you want info on, just click it (such as the Web Ratings, story names and categories, etc...) as things are now more click - or even touch - friendly. Sadly, though, I've been a little under-the-weather again recently but I'm hoping to be fully recovered again soon. On the plus side, however, I do have some more new content for you today! In contrast to the super-new illustration I uploaded on Monday, today I have an update from days past - in fact it might be the oldest illustration of mine currently on TIME FOR SLEEP. This one hails from 'Darien's Line', one of the CITY STORIES, and actually appeared on the site briefly many years ago. I plan to make good on the promise I made on Monday: this year I will be updating the site with all previously-available content and well as starting in on some audio stories for you. Additionally, though the character profiles are currently down in all sections, I do plan to get them up-and-running soon (I'm just adding more information to each and it took longer than I anticipated). So just hang in there as I'd like to get them back to you this week though, with my current condition, it may take me just a little bit longer. Well, I do hope you are in for an excellent end to your week, a fantastic weekend and I will see you again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how are you doing? I've been feeling much better since the weekend - getting stronger everyday after this nasty illness. Sadly, due to my condition last week, I was unable to re-post the character profile pages as I mentioned but I do promise to get them up this week as I should have plenty of time to work on them and I should be feeling well enough to get said work done. Now, while I don't have the revamped character pages for you today, I do have a new piece of artwork for you! This new piece is similar to the 'Wildcard: Driven' cast pictures I was bringing you a while back except for two slight differences: first is that fact that this character is from 'Wildcard: Flock' instead of 'Wildcard: Driven' (and hopefully I can bring you illustrations of more of the cast soon) and second is that the colouring in the piece is done using Photoshop instead of Art Markers. I decided to use Photoshop this time around as I have been in the mood to practice my digital painting/colouring skills so I thought this might give me some good practice; I hope you enjoy! While I've been down-and-out, I decided to replay a little more of the 'Resident Evil' remake for the GameCube as I am always down for playing it and 'Resident Evil' in general. I still have not gotten back to my Steam Library or my game backlog but hopefully now that I am feeling better and am back on schedule, I'll get some more time for work and play. I do hope you are in for a grand end to your week and I will certainly be back next week with some more content for you! Until then, cheers!"

"Surprise Friday update! I hope you are well this fine day and that you are in for a wonderful weekend! I wanted to drop by today and (finally) bring you those updated character profiles I've been promising to get up-and-running. So, the character profiles from the TWIST TALES ('Tainted Symphony' and 'Winter Wonders') and the CITY STORIES ('Bleeding Hearts') are back up and running. In addition, though, I have brought you some character profiles from the GAIA CHRONICLES headliner, 'Owl and Fish-man' - so feel free to check them out while you are at it! I'm still planning to add a little more to each profile but that will come in time. As well, I am hoping to be bringing more character profiles from different stories to you - and with more frequency - in the near future. For now, though, there are a total of thirteen character profiles active and updated so do enjoy and expect some more 'Owl and Fish-man' profiles soon. I'm off to finish up some work before the weekend arrives and then I think I'll just curl up and play some 'Resident Evil'. Have a grand weekend and see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how are you doing? I'm doing pretty well these days (finally) and my health seems to be getting better with each passing day. My schedule has been slowing down a bit too, which has been nice, so I have decided to take advantage of the lull in my work and the positive condition of my health and put together some more content for you! Today, I come bearing a rare double-dose of story content that I hope you will dig. I've put together some more 'Owl and Fish-man' character profiles for you and, while I have quite a few ready go, I wanted to break it up a little and not just bring you characters today. So, from the GAIA CHRONICLES, I have three new 'Owl and Fish-man' character profiles for you to join the four from last Friday (in case you missed it, I posted in a surprise update last Friday which you can also check out) and I plan to bring you three more this Friday as well! However, to break up this tsunami of character profiles I thought I would bring you a new FUTURE TEXTS illustration as well. This Unlocks a new story titled 'Wildcard: Tainted' and is another of the cast illustrations - again featuring the captain/main character of the tale as is the case with each 'Wildcard' story. So take a look at this new content and I'll be around again on Friday with some more for you! On the gaming side of my life, I managed to finish up the GameCube remake of 'Resident Evil' over the weekend and was left with an urge to play more survival horror. So, I opted to dive straight into 'Resident Evil 3: Nemesis' which my memories of are hazy at best; loving it all over again! Anyways, have a great week and see you Friday, cheers!"

Things have been a little hectic and stressful on my end as of late and, as you may have noticed, I was not able to pop by on Monday as I was hoping to. However, things should start to slow down again after this week with any luck. So, just a quick update for today which comes in the form of yet another cast illustration from the newly-Unlocked FUTURE TEXTS story 'Wildcard: Tainted'! I hope you enjoy a look at anther new character from this story and I hope to get moving on some audio story content for you soon too, but that may take a little longer still to get rolling. Regardless, I'll likely have some more cast illustrations from 'Wildcard' over the coming weeks so stay tuned for that. Now, I'm not too sure what the rest of this week will bring just yet but, with any luck, I will be back again come Friday with some more 'Owl and Fish-man' character profiles - so feel free to come by then.      "Good day, how are you doing? Things have been slowing down again around here, which has been quite nice. I have a lovely weekend and have even had the chance to play some videogames and get some sketching done! Sadly, I have not had the opportunity just yet to finish up more of those 'Owl and Fish-man' character profiles that I have been wanting to post (as I have been quite exhausted) but with some more time to spare these days, I will hopefully be able to get some more up next week for you. For now, though, I do have a new 'Wildcard: Tainted' character illustration so check it out below! As I mentioned, I did have a chance to do some gaming recently and finished up with my 'Resident Evil 3: Nemesis' playthrough. I had such a blast and decided to keep the trend going, so I immediately hopped into 'Resident Evil 2'. Depending on how things go with that, I may just dive into 'Code: Veronica X' when I'm finished. I'm quite eager to see where Capcom takes the 'Resident Evil' series next since - as with many companies - they have begun polling fans to see what they are most interested in seeing in future instalments of their franchises (a fantastic idea, if I do say so). The result of which was that Capcom announced a little while back that a pure action game take on 'Resident Evil' may not be the way to go and that they are planning to inject more survival horror back into the series in future instalments. Even if it's just by way of 'Resident Evil: Revelations', I'm down for it as - while I dig the current 'Resident Evil' games - I do miss the overarching horror theme. Well, do have yourself a grand week and see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, fancy meeting you here! I hope you are doing well this week. I have been a little on the busy (and tired) side but nothing too bad. I've had some time to do some sketching and might even be getting close to actually starting in on some audio story work (don't hold me to that just yet, not until I have something more concrete). For today, though, I have another cast illustration from the FUTURE TEXTS story 'Wildcard: Tainted' so feel free to take a look! I have not yet had enough time to sit down with the character profiles for 'Owl and Fish-man' just yet but expect to see more soon (next week perhaps?). In my little bursts of free time I've been able to play a little more 'Resident Evil 2' and I've nearly finished the second scenario. I'm still having a blast so I think I may just jump into 'Code: Veronica X' after this. Well, sorry to be on the brief side today but I've still got a fair amount of work left to do so I best be off! Have a great end to your week, a lovely weekend and I shall be back again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how're you today? I must apologize, I know I am a fair bit late in update today... It has been a bit of a hectic week and I have been under-the-weather so I am a tad bit delayed today. However, I do have a new piece of content for you, this time in the form of a new production sketch from the FUTURE TEXTS story, 'Moons Opera' so do check it out! I've been doing my best to get some sketching done as of late and it has been fairly successful overall s no complaints here. I haven't had a ton of free time lately but what free time I have had has been spent finishing up with 'Resident Evil 2' and then jumping into 'Resident Evil Code: Veronica X' which I'm loving all over again. I've also been trying to log into 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' but due to the condition of the severs, it has been near impossible - I may try again this evening, though, as Square Enix have upgraded their servers and added new Worlds to alleviate congestion. Regardless, what I have been able to play has been wonderful and I loved the adjustments and expansions they have made so far. Well, I'm off to finish up some more work before my next login attempt so do have a great week and see you (on time) next week, cheers!"

"Hello again, how's it going? I've been under-the-weather as of late and a little on the super-busy side to boot but I'm doing my best to juggle work, sleep, artwork, healing, and playing videogames... My efforts are being met with mixed success. But all that aside, I wanted to drop by and bring you some 'Saigo Yume I' concept art today! I had a dream the other night that got me in the mindset of this tale so I dug out some never-before-posted artwork and decided to put up here for you! I've got some more pieces I will be bringing you over the next few weeks and, with any luck, I'll even have some new work to top it all off. Failing that, though, I am working on some more FUTURE TEXTS work that I will be posting after the next few SAIGO YUME updates regardless. Also, fear not! I did not forget about the 'Owl and Fish-man' character profiles and I will be posting more of them as soon as I start feeling a bit better. In my off hours these days I've been putting in a bit of time on 'Resident Evil Code: Veronica X' and I'm about half-way through as a result. I have been a little distracted, however, by 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn'. The work Square Enix has put in to truly polish 'Final Fantasy XIV' as well as listen to fans and implement a lot of what people are clamouring for most is truly inspiring and I'm loving being back in Eorzea! The revised crafting system is a blast, the Companion and Mount system as well as the Minions are a ton of fun and the Subscription bonus items (put in to reward long-time subscribers) is such a treat! I'm itching to get back playing just writing this. Well, have a grand week/weekend and see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Why hello there, sorry I am running a bit late again today; I hope all is well with you! Things have continued to be a bit hectic for me this week but, rest assured, even if I am running late I always promise to post on Wednesdays at the very least! So, with that said, I come bearing a couple of pieces from 'Saigo Yume I' for you today! The first of today's pieces is a super-old piece and my first attempt at digital painting back from 2001. Now, not wanting to just drop a rough, old image on you today, I thought I would bring along the first in a series of roster illustrations as well. Expect to see a few of these over the coming weeks which should serve as a nice sneak-peak at the cast from 'Saigo Yume I' so I hope you enjoy! As I have been quite busy as of late, I haven't had much time to play many videogames but I have clocked a few minutes here and there on 'Resident Evil Code: Veronica X' in my attempts to finish it up before diving into 'Resident Evil 4'. As well, I have snuck in some time online with 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' which continues to impress! The depth of even smaller quests are impressive as they bring you a lot of details about the world and some nice insight into the changes for those of you who played the 1.0 version. Battle, crafting and harvesting are all a ton of fun and have really been streamlined and the upcoming addition of the housing system should be a blast! Well, I'd best be off to finish up some more work and then maybe play a little 'Final Fantasy XIV' before getting some much-needed rest. Until next week, cheers!"

"Hello there, how are you this week? I'm doing a fair bit better (or will be over the next little while, at least) as I had a minor surgery on Monday that should help my overall health improve. So while I may be a little run down now, I should be well on my way to recovering and quickly! I may not be quite in the any condition to do any new artwork right at the moment but I did prepare a little something for you last week just in case; today, I have for you another simple roaster from 'Saigo Yume I'. These are some more very important members of the cast but the original illustration was not completed at the same time as the other simple roster pieces - this piece was actually finished this month. So, in order to make it match with the other simple roster illustrations, I did my best to mimic my old style and techniques which was quite a lot of fun! Please do take a look and I hope you enjoy! I've had a little bit more time to do some gaming thanks to my orders to stay quiet so I've been doing my best to finish up with 'Code: Veronica X' while continuing to explore the familiar-yet-new world of Eorzea via 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn'. I'm having a blast with both and I may even be able to sneak in some play on my backlog of games as I'm told my PS3 repairs have been completed! So let's see how things shape up. Well, I'm off to get some rest but I do hope you have a marvellous week and I look forward to checking in again with you next week! Until then, cheers!"

"Hello again, how're you doing? I've been quite sore and under-the-weather post-surgery but I've been doing my best to do some sketching here and there when I can. I do have another simple roster illustration from 'Saigo Yume 1' for you today so do take a look at some more of the robust cast. I have a few more of these for you to check out over the next few weeks before I dive back into some FUTURE TEXTS work and maybe even some HISTORY TOMES concept art as well - though with my health the way it is we will just have to play things by ear. I haven't really gotten up to much gaming - just a dash of 'Final Fantasy XIV' here and there and a little 'Code: Veronica X' to taste - as sleeping on and off at odd hours has pretty much been my thing these days. Hopefully I'll be in better condition soon (increasingly so over the next little while if I'm luck) and I can get back to business as usual. Have you hear the news about Valve by the way? An official Steam Box (not the overpriced, arrogantly-marketed Piston mind you), a free Steam OS and a groovy controller to round things out; not too shabby! I'm definitely down for more Steam in my life and I think these steps to make Steam available in the living room are a great way to make PC gaming more appealing to consol gamers and to really extended the reach of the beautiful digital gaming model that is Steam. Though, I must admit, announcing Half-Life 3 as a launch title for these services I think would have been all the sweeter but cheers to Valve nonetheless. Well, I'm off to get some rest and maybe do a little sketching so I wish you the best and I'll be back again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there and welcome! I hope you are well this week and that things have been going smoothly for you! I'm starting to recover a bit though I am still feeling pretty rough. I did manage to get a little drawing in though and I have a little something to bring you in a couple of weeks. For now, though, please enjoy another 'Saigo Yume I' simple roster illustration! 'Saigo Yume I' has a pretty robust and varied cast so I'm excited to be showing you at least some of them and I hope, one day, you'll be able to check out the story in full (in one form or another). 'Saigo Yume I' has been in the works since 1996 and a lot has changed - or has been built on or refined - over the years but it is a story Cody, Paul and myself are quite passionate about. Anyways, outside of my art, I have been spending a little time playing some videogames in a bid to keep my weary - albeit restless - body at bay. I finished up with 'Resident Evil Code: Veronica X' which was fun (though far more challenging at points than I remembered) and have since jumped into 'Resident Evil 4'. I realize, now, that I should actually have started with 'Resident Evil 0', or at least went back to it earlier on in my playthrough, but I wasn't anticipating doing a series run-through so I may just have to finish up with it or something. As well, I have been continuing to love 'Final Fantasy XIV' and I am really impressed with the general sense of proving yourself and building a reputation in game, not just among other players but among NPCs and story characters as well. It really adds some cool depth to your experiences. Well, have yourself a wonderful week and see you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Welcome, welcome! How are you today? I hope your week has been grand so far as mine is off to a pretty good start. What with being a wild woodsman of Canada, I had a lovely and long Thanksgiving weekend which proved to be quite refreshing! I have completed some new artwork which will be cropping up next week and the week after - which will be bookended this week and the first week of November with another pair of simple roster illustrations from 'Saigo Yume 1'! Outside of some sketching and illustrating, I knocked out my playthrough of 'Resident Evil 4' and opted to dive into 'Resident Evil 0' before moving forward with the series. I am still a little dismayed with some of the aspects of 'Resident Evil 0', though... While the gameplay is quite solid, I don't necessarily dig the item-dropping feature as it feels quite messy to my slightly-obsessive tendencies. Otherwise, the story does feel fairly 'tacked-on' as it really scatters the Bravo Team just to have them all wind up at the mansion again in time for the first game? And if the helicopter crashes miles away near the train, how does it end up within running distance of said mansion in the first game? And with Rebecca triumphing over zombies, hunters, leeches, Proto-Tyrants and her own final boss - becoming the kind of tough 'Resident Evil' heroine the rest of the series is known for - why, then, does Chris find the inexperienced rookie cowering in the mansion? Seems a little over-the-top and a tad unnecessary I suppose. Still a fairly-solid game, though, and having a blast with the old-school survival-horror. Have a great week and see you next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hi there, I'm afraid I must be brief this week as I have caught a nasty case of the flu on top of being utterly exhausted. But I did prepare something new for you to check out so I hope you enjoy this pre-Halloween update to 'Tainted Symphony'! While not feeling horribly run-down I've been spending some time with my PS3 (finally returned from it's repairs looking much slimmer... like a whole new console really) playing through some 'Resident Evil 5' and 'Resident Evil: Revelations HD' which is a blast. If you're in the mood for some nice survival-horror mixed with the current generation 'Resident Evil' gameplay, I highly recommend 'Resident Evil: Revelations' as - like I've said before - it really is a full 'Resident Evil', sort of like a 'Resident Evil 5.5' if you will. Anyways, I must be off to get some rest so do have yourself a grand week and I'll be back again next Wednesday with some more horror-themed concept art for you. Until then, cheers!"

"Hello again, how are you faring this spooky week? I always love Halloween as it is at the top of my favourite-seasonal-celebrations list (second only to Christmas). So this week, like last, I wanted to bring you some horror-themed artwork in the form of some more 'Tainted Symphony' concept art! Please feel free to check it out and I hope you do enjoy! Zombies have been a theme for me as of late what with continuing my playthrough of the 'Resident Evil' series; I've still been running through 'Resident Evil 5' co-op (still one of my favourite co-op gaming experiences, right next to the original 'Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles) and 'Resident Evil: Revelations HD' (which I am very impressed with the console port of, having added a control scheme similar to 'Resident Evil 5'/'Resident Evil 6' and the graphics look nice and polished overall so it really stacks up to the pair in that regard as well). However, outside of my gaming lately I have been going some sketching and I have prepared a few FUTURE TEXTS pieces that I hope to be putting up for you soon (after a few more pieces of concept art from 'Saigo Yume I'). Anyways, I do hope you are in for a grand week, a Happy Halloween and I will be back again come next Wednesday! Until then, cheers!"

"Hey there, how are you doing this week? I hope you had a grand Halloween and that your month of November is off to a smashing start! I have been a pretty exhausted and under-the-weather but I'm starting to feel much more myself now. I have been doing some sketching here and there when I've been up for it so expect some new concept art soon. This week, I have another simple roster from 'Saigo Yume I' as promised with another simple roster landing next week. I think I may be following up this SAIGO YUME artwork with some FUTURE TEXTS content so stay tuned for that. With a little extra time on my hands amidst feeling ill, I recently played through some more 'Resident Evil 5' and 'Revelations' and am just about finished up with my playthroughs of each. I'm eager to crack into 'Resident Evil 6' again soon and it's been a lot of fun watching the characters grow and change over the years; quite well done! Anyways, I'm off to get some rest before attempting some more sketching. I hope you are in for a grand week and I look forward to checking back in with you next Wednesday!      "Well hello there, thanks for stopping by! I hope this week finds you well; I've been rather exhausted of late but I've been doing my best to rest up as not to exacerbate my health. However, tired though I may be, I have been keeping up with my art the best I can and have been working on some more FUTURE TEXTS species and armour design work. Next week I'll be giving you a peek at some of the sketch work I've done but before we move on to the FUTURE TEXTS, I want to show you one last simple roster piece from 'Saigo Yume I'! 'Saigo Yume I' has a pretty robust cast and it is the story I have put the most time and work on in my life. Hopefully one day soon Cody, Paul and myself can share it with you in its entirety. And on the subject of entirety, I finished off my co-op playthrough of 'Resident Evil 5' and have jumped into a co-op playthrough of 'Resident Evil 6' to finish off my series run. I've really enjoyed playing through the 'Resident Evil' series and seeing what ideas still carry over and how they really developed the lives of their characters over the years. I'm also quite excited as I never got a chance to play through the final scenario - or really dig into Mercenaries mode for that matter - before my PS3 went in for repairs far too long ago. When co-op isn't available (apparently some people have normal nine-to-five lives) I've been playing a little 'Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes' which is on smartphones now too! It's a real fun Puzzle-RPG completely unlike any other 'Might & Magic' game. You might dig it, you should check it out! Anyways, have yourself a fantastic week and I'll see you again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"G'day to you, how's it going? I'm feeling a might bit better and hopefully things will be on the up-and-up for me for the next little while at the least. I hope you are well and I appreciate you stopping by, I have a new concept sketch for you today! I've been working pretty steady on the FUTURE TEXTS as of late so I brought you some sketches of armour today for you to take a look at. On a related note, (said relation will become apparent in a moment, I promise) did you check out that new show 'Almost Human'? Not too shabby at all! I'm impressed at how fleshed out and cinematic it felt and - 'iRobot' similarities aside - I really dug the uniqueness of it and I always like the concept of human-robot cop team-ups. In fact, I like that concept so much that I started working on a FUTURE TEXTS story back in June of last year called 'Stray Night' that features this particular dynamic. Perhaps I'll post some work from 'Stray Night' next week just in case you dig the human-robot cop dynamic as well? I'm nearing completion of my 'Resident Evil' series playthrough which has been a real treat throughout. I'm still deciding what to crack into next as I'd love to do a run of 'Dead Space' especially since I've yet to have been able to play 'Dead Space 3'. Additionally, I am so very eager to dive right into 'The Last of Us', 'DmC: Devil May Cry' and 'Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch'. So many good choices, maybe I'll just have to close my eyes and pick at random? Well, I do hope you are in for a marvellous week (speaking of Marvel, 'Thor: The Dark World' was so grand and amazing) and I'll be back again come next Wednesday, cheers!"

"Hello there, how're things? I've been well enough, my health is still up and down these days but I've been making some good headway with my sketching when I can. All-in-all things are shaping up pretty nicely and I do have something new to show you today! As I mentioned last week, I wanted to bring you a peek at a story I've been working on call 'Stray Night'. As such, the tale has been Unlocked in the FUTURE TEXTS section where you can take a look at the first piece of concept art from 'Stray Night' - a tale about a cop and their synthetic partner. I actually have a second piece of concept art for you to take a look at so I will do my best to pop in this Friday but - failing that - I shall be posting it next Wednesday; I hope you like what you see! I've been nearing the end of 'Resident Evil 6' and 'Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes' though I haven't spent as much time with them as of late as I may have wanted to. All the same, loving them both - even though I wish the co-op in last scenario of 'Resident Evil 6' was a little more polished in (terms of both partners being able to open doors and the like). Anyways, I'm off to get in a little rest before trying to do a little more sketching.   DECEMBER 2013

"Hey, how're you doing? I hope you've been well and I hope life has been treating you kindly! I've been a little run down as of late but overall I'm doing alright. I've managed to get in a fair amount of sketching over the past week and even have begun unintentionally scripting a new story. I do apologize I was unable to pop in last Friday as I had hoped but my schedule ended up being too hectic. I do, however, have that new piece of 'Stray Night' artwork for you today - though, I should warn you, it is NSFW. I'm still undecided as to what I will be bringing you next week as I have a collection of both new and older content that I would like to post so you'll just have to pop by next Wednesday so see what's in store! I finished up y run of 'Resident Evil 6' and 'Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes' and thoroughly enjoyed my run through each. I'm eager to see where thing will go in the next 'Resident Evil' and I certainly wish there were more 'Clash of Heroes' games as it's fun to just pick up and play now and then. I've just started in on 'The Last of Us' and, while I was already expecting wonderful things from it, I'm extremely blown away by what I've played so far - and I've only just complete what constitutes as the tutorial. I'm endlessly eager to dive into it more but I've got to get in some good work today so here's hoping I can sink my teeth into some more of the fleshy tale later. I do hope you have a spectacular week and I look forward to popping back in next Wednesday! Until then, cheers!"

"Hello there, how are you doing this week? I've been a little worn out but I've been doing my best to keep on my feet and get in some rough sketching when I can. I've had some new story ideas floating around my head these days - ideas to expand older stories and ideas for new stories altogether - so I've been doing my best to catalogue these thoughts when I can. I know it's been a crazy delay getting new story content to you but I've been having a bit of a rough year this year and I hope to be turning things around come the new year. All that aside though, I do have a new piece of concept art for you today, further fleshing out some ideas from 'Moons Opera' so do take a look! When I've been out-of-commission I've been sitting down with 'The Last of Us' and finished it up over the weekend. I was utterly blown away. I went in expecting a lot and still had my expectation far exceeded. 'The Last of Us' is such a beautiful game and a heartbreaking experience (in the best possible way). It boasts a wonderful, minimalistic style that I just can't get enough of. It's such a fantastic, well-crafted game with a deeply immersive world utterly pack with detail. The voice acting is top notch and the music is beautiful. I've been devouring the artbook for the game and am actually considering sitting down and replaying it again - if I think I can take it emotionally (there's some heavy stuff in there). If you're looking for a character-driven, post-apocalyptic story in the vein of 'The Walking Dead', I highly recommend you check out 'The Last of Us'; I can't wait for the next piece of DLC and the tale wrapped within. See you again next Wednesday, cheers!"

I've managed to get some more sketching done and am hoping that, in the coming weeks, I will be able to get even more concrete artwork finish (health permitting). I do have an update for you this week that comes in two parts and comprise colour tests for one of the FUTURE TEXTS species, the Ogza. I do hope you enjoy! I still haven't been able to get enough of 'The Last of Us' and have been playing through it again on Survivor which is an interesting experience. As well, I've dug a bit into multiplayer and - while it's not necessarily my cup of tea as I'm not huge on the competitive scene - it is extremely solid and offers a lot for players, especially those who really dig this style of play. I've been enjoying it nonetheless, though I wish there was some more customizability in terms of your characters. Anyways, I hope you are in for a wonderful week this week and next! Due to the fact that next Wednesday is Christmas Day, it is extremely unlikely I'll be able to drop in so, as such, I will be updating next Tuesday, December 24th instead.      "Hello there, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! How are you this holiday season? I'm sad to say I must be brief today as I spent much of yesterday in the hospital emergence room. I'm not sure if you heard but a large part of Canada has been hit by bad ice storms which has resulted in some dangerous driving and walking conditions outside. I'm fortunate to have electricity in my area but I stepped outside yesterday and took a severe fall, (re)injuring my light leg, banging up my left knee, taking a hit to the jaw by a rather feisty concrete ledge and - most discouragingly - shattering my right thumb... the thumb of my drawing hand. The doctors have told me that I should (hopefully) heal well enough to continue drawing but we won't know for sure for six weeks. I'm sure I'll find a way regardless so just going to take time to mend over the next little while. It's certainly going to be a challenge relaxing without being able to draw or game but at least I can catch up on some reading and maybe finally get down to doing some audio story recordings! Fortunately, before my holidays (and injury) I prepared a backlog of about eight weeks of content for you - and scanned even more that I may be able to digitally colour - so, rest assured, there will be no delay in content updates and I even have a small, Holiday update for you today! Additionally, I promise to be back next Wednesday as well with something new for you (and I'll keep you apprised of my condition as well) so please, don't worry, I'm sure I'll be just fine! So, whatever your plans, I hope you haven the Happiest of Holidays and I will certainly see you next Wednesday, cheers!"
